Isabelle “No Mercy” Mercier one of the aggressive new breed of female poker players
...And why male poker players should be afraid, very afraid!
THE APOKER-LIPS! Isabelle “No Mercy” Mercier is part of an aggressive new breed of female poker players. Her famous quote tells all, “This world is filled with morons! Men who think they are superior to women! I love to break them and take their chips!” Before you go assuming Miss Mercier is an overweight bruiser you could easily loathe, keep in mind she looks like a cross between Sheryl Crow and Kate Moss and most of us males would prefer to spend an evening losing to her than taking money from a drunken mate. Well on her way to her first million this year, Isabelle’s tips are worth noting.
How To Make A
Playing Online Poker!
WOMAN TO WOMAN
“I always advise women that experience is the key. Play thousands of hands. Practise on the internet. Play small No Limit Tournaments for as cheap as $1. My mother plays a tournament a day. Be aggressive! Men don’t expect it from a woman. Force yourself to play a whole tournament where your only options are to fold or raise. If you don’t allow yourself to call, you will be surprised with the result of always raising. Don’t get me wrong. This is just for practise. Calling is certainly one of the weapons you have in poker and you should use it in real tournaments. But give fold or raise a try!”
POKER JOKER A bunch of cowboys are playing poker in the local saloon when Crazy Calhoun jumps up to protest.
“Texas John’s cheatin’!”
“How’d y’know?” grunts Low Slung Luke.
“Those ain’t the cards I dealt him!”
