Privacy and cookies

The short version: we do not run advertising or analytics of our own, we do not build a profile of you, and we have nothing to sell about you.

What we collect

Nothing you do not send us. The site has no account system, no newsletter sign-up of its own and no advertising tags. If you write to the desk by email, we keep your message for as long as it takes to answer it and any correction it leads to.

Cookies

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. Standard server logs record the request (address, time, page, browser) for security and for working out what broke; they are kept briefly and are not joined to anything else.

Third parties

Some pages embed a subscription or feedback form supplied by a third party, and pages link out to operators, regulators and reference sites. Once you follow a link or use an embedded form, that service’s own privacy terms apply, not ours.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected].
